Telangana government is now planning to auction the housing board lands?

The state government of Telangana has asked the housing board to hand over the land to HMDA for the auctioning which has leftover pockets of land. The Telangana government is now eying Telangana Housing Board land to auction and make some money, same like it has done in the recent past the lands of kokapet, khanamet, puppalaguda, Uppal Bhagat, Neopolis and made some chunk of revenue in the form of the auction to the exchequer. The state government has identified about 540 acres of land belonging to the Housing Board in Kukatpally, Pocharam, Raviryal which are leftover in and around the IT hub which may en masse the revenue to the government. From some sources, it is found that the government is expecting revenue to the tune of Rs 2000 cr to Rs 3000 cr Rs by the way of selling the land. Telangana government is likely to hike the market value for agriculture and non-agriculture lands to the tune of 20 % to 50% if the cabinet assents to the hike. It will come into effect very soon. HMDA ZONES: Categorization of land use zone regulations and its guidelines for various establishments?

  HMDA has classified the land use into different zones which have been directly monitored and managed by authorities which has the final discretionary powers to give permissions for utilizing the land as per HMDA norms which are classified as follows: RESIDENTIAL USE ZONE   Residential Zone-1  (Urban Areas connecting to Growth Corridor): Residential Zone falling within such connecting urban area, i.e. the area connecting outside Growth Corridor, wherein the detailed planning of roads and various urban use zones are proposed. HMDA: HMDA MASTER PLAN 2031 & ITS JURISDICTION.

Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority was constituted on 25-8-2008. The authorities such as HUDA Hyderabad Urban Development Authority / Hyderabad Airport Development Authority / Cyberabad Development Authority were dissolved and merged with HMDA. The jurisdiction of HMDA extends to 55 mandals located in 5 districts viz. Hyderabad all 16 mandals Rangareddy 22 mandals Medak 10 mandals Mahaboobnagar 2 mandals Nalgonda 5 mandals.
